The pioneer of affordable ultra-portable laptops has come with a new model to rival the various copycat models in the market. The Asus Eee PC 1000HA is the latest model in the ASUS budget laptop line up. Among the most obvious improvements can be seen in its design. It has a sleek and more advanced look compared to its predecessor the Eee PC 1000H. It has more rounded corners and has a glossy finish to its outer casing. The Eee PC 1000HA has a rugged build, with a sturdy exterior to withstand the rigors of daily use. However, its glossy exterior seems vulnerable to fingerprints and scratches.

With a price reduction of $50 (compared to its predecessor, the Asus Eee 1000H), the new model has omitted the draft-N wireless and Bluetooth function, which is seldom used anyway. It comes with a 1.3 mp camera, runs of Windows XP Home and is wi-fi ready. It’s preloaded with a 160GB hard drive and have 1GB of RAM.
